When it was founded in 1965, the company, then called SIGA, specialised in the manufacture of adhesive tapes. The focus of the company was placed on the bonding of floor coverings for the first time following the generational change in the 1980s.

The company launched its first dry adhesive to the market in 1997. Following the sale of the company to Uzin Utz SE and the change of its name to Sifloor AG, the move to the new building in Sursee was also on the programme. This was followed by the introduction of additional dry adhesives for bonding-resilient floor coverings, carpets and designer flooring.
